Travel Writing

A note about these writing samples: You’ll notice my travel writing just about stopped in 2009. That’s because in 2010 I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. I went through nearly a year of treatment. I suppose it was worth it because I am here to tell you, I celebrated my 5-year-survival in December of 2015! This summer (2016) marked the first travel bug bite! I went camping in six states in about the same number of weeks.
